JBP needed consumer insight for their client Pampered Chef. Pampered Chef is a premier direct seller of essential kitchen tools. The brief focused on developing a clear insight into consumer’s attitude:
- Brand perception,
- Direct selling business concept.
Pampered Chef is a new client for JBP, and this project presented the first opportunity to review brand recognition within the UK.
The client needed to understand brand and product perception, and clarify attitudes related to the direct selling concept.
The business outcome of the research was to reduce risk regarding future sales strategies, the insight flowed into the Sales and Marketing strategies, which in turn increased sales.

Focus groups are a useful research methodology for gauging customer reactions and feelings towards a particular product or service as well as helping to create a buzz around the brand.
